“I do not think it is wrong to envision a life with me, in your own words, with me as your only love, the only love you’ll ever need to find. I have envisioned the same thing with you. You are an amazing person who I absolutely adore, and we function perfectly together. I can’t imagine someone more wonderful than you, which is why I adamantly did not want to let you go at the summer’s end. You mentioned that time is a terrible thing and can destroy people - but that’s only if you let it. Why should time have to destroy people? It may destroy the weak, but for the strong-willed, passionate individuals and lovers, time is generally friendly. I do not believe such destruction is inevitable. The fate of our relationship is in our hands, and I’m holding you closely.”

I’m finding old love letters and letting my heart ache. It hurts to remember what words were written and what the truth really was.

You didn’t hold me closely enough.
